George V gold Proof 2 Pounds 1911 PR67 Deep Cameo PCGS, Royal mint, KM821, S-3995. Amazingly preserved, and currently tied for the finest graded example. Of the 307 examples graded by NGC and PCGS, only 7 have been graded PR67. When one considers cameo designation as well, that figure drops to just 3 that have been graded PR67 Deep Cameo. In other words, this is one of three examples tied for the title of finest graded out of 307 total--obviously no small feat. With such a large sample size, it may not be too far of a stretch to say that this piece is in the top 1% of all surviving examples. Indeed, we have offered to PR67 examples in our history, but one was just PR67 and the other was PR67 Cameo; as such, with the impressive Deep Cameo on the current specimen, we can also call this the finest example we have ever offered. The fields are exceptionally mirrored, and and devices starkly frosted- this is surely a lot that will be hotly contested.
