William III Crown 1696 MS66 NGC, KM494.1, S-3472, ESC-1003 (C/1) Third Bust/OCTAVO edge. Elite quality for a William III issue of any date, this crown showcases superlative luster that sparkles with every turn beneath a light and a strike that is bold, leaving no area incomplete. The surfaces also live up to the assigned premium Gem grade, with a breathtaking absence of contact marks over each side and only a few trivial instances where the oft-occurring planchet inclusions appear. Perhaps most impressive however is the arrangement of lovely patina over the surfaces.
