Papal States. Pius VI gold 5 Zecchini 1787-GP Anno XIII MS62 Prooflike NGC, Bologna mint, KM313, Fr-391, Berman-3014. Obv. St. Peter seated facing among the clouds, raising hand in benediction and holding scepter; coat-of-arms to lower left and right. Rev. Garnished coat-of-arms surmounted by papal tiara and keys crossed in saltire. One of the finest specimens of the type which this cataloger could locate, this wondrous piece represents the first time we have offered a version. The present specimen yields blazing and brilliant luster, along with radiating eye appeal and a needle sharp strike. The prooflike nature of the fields simply intensifies the attractiveness, assuredly transfixing the gaze of each and every viewer. Worthy of heightened consideration and intense bidding.
