Willem III gold Proof 10 Gulden 1851 PR63 Ultra Cameo NGC, KM95, Fr-340. A very rare coin, we have not been able to find an example offered at major public auction since we sold one in May, 2009 for $7475. That coin was slightly lower grade, at an NGC PR63 Cameo. Indeed, the population report confirms its rarity, with a total of just three 1851 proof 10 guldens seen by NGC at all grade levels, and none by PCGS. This coin possesses a few faint hairlines in the fields, as one would expect at the PR63 level, though these are only visible under magnification. When viewed by the naked eye, the highly mirrored fields and deeply frosted devices completely distract the eye from such minor imperfections.
