Nicholas I of Russia gold 50 Zlotych 1829-FH AU Details (Surface Hairlines) NGC, Warsaw mint, KM-C119, Fr-109, Bit-978, Gum-2532. With a mintage of just 1,878 pieces, this pleasing gold issue exhibits some scattered hairlines consistent with the details designation, but nevertheless remains an enchanting and enigmatic type. Featuring the laureate bust of Nicholas' father, Alexander I, this specimen pays tribute to the latter, under whose rule the Kingdom of Poland was partitioned to Russia following the Congress of Vienna in 1815.
