Saudi Arabia Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency 10 Riyals AH1372 (1953) Pick 1. Printed primarily in green by TDLR, this Haj Pilgrim Receipt issued by the Monetary Agency promised that 10 Riyals were physically being held within its vaults at the disposal of the bearer. Though these were intended only to be used by Haj Pilgrims, acceptance was so wide that a few years later the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency started issuing banknotes for the ease of commerce.
