Attica, Athens. civic issue. ca. 186-147 B.C. AR tetradrachm (32.04 mm, 16.18 g, 11 h). New Style Tetradrachm under Roman rule. struck 172/1 B.C. Head of Athena right wearing elaborate, crested Corinthian-style helmet / A - ΘE, ethnic at top divided by owl standing right, head facing, on overturned amphora; monogram in left field; aphlaston over monogram in right field / ΣA beneath amphora; all within laurel-wreath.
