Ionia, Ephesos. civic issue. ca. 180-67 B.C. AR cistophoric tetradrachm (27.02 mm, 12.50 g, 12 h). Serpent emerging left from cista mystica, all within ivy-wreath / EΦ[E] to left of two serpents coiling around bowcase, to right, fillet hanging from hand left; graffiti "ΠΕΛΛΑ" between 1:00-3:00. Kleiner & Noe Series 26; SNG Copenhagen 311. Near VF, nicely toned, graffiti 1:00-3:00 reverse.
