Seleukid Kingdom, Seleukis and Pieria. Antiochia ad Orontem. Antiochos VIII Epiphanes. Sole reign, 121/0-97/6 B.C. AE 18 "Unit" (18.52 mm, 6.27 g, 1 h). Antioch mint, struck ca. 121-114 B.C. , Radiate head of Antiochos VIII right / [B]AΣIΛEΩ[Σ] / ANTIOXO[Y ] - [E]ΠIΦAN[OYΣ], eagle standing left, wings closed, on thunderbolt, transverse scepter behind shoulder; in exergue indistinct letters for date (Sqp? - if so, S.E. 196 = 117/16 B.C.). Cf. Spaer 2501-15, 17-21, 24-26. VF, smooth dark green patina obverse, some pitting in field, rough green patina reverse, red deposits in recesses - date unclear.
