This is another rather complex issue of notes with provisionals and 1900 overprints. This early Popayán type is a uniface printing by D. Paredes. Orange frame and protector. Arms across the center. The spread wing eagle is adapted from the American series vignette E Pluribus Unum that appears on Federal interest bearing notes. Bold, but the note is trimmed inward along the perimeter. Very appealing overall and rare. PMG Very Fine 20.
