COLOMBIA. Banco de Colombia. 100 Pesos, 188_. P-S388Ap. Archival Record Book Face and Back Proofs. Very Fine Net.
Another gorgeous type. This is the highest denomination from the second of two series of American Bank Note Company printed notes. This has a partially written date blank and different tint color than the engraved date notes. 2,000 issued notes were authorized to be printed in December 1885. The soft rose face tint distinguishes it from the earlier type. Deeper red back. Piece of India paper from the red back has peeled off leaving a bald spot. The face is lovely. Very Fine Net.
From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Paper Money.
Estimate: $500.00- $1000.00
