COLOMBIA. Casa de Moneda de Medellín. 2 ½ Pesos. September 15, 1919. P-. Archival Record Book Face and Back Proofs. Uncirculated.
The primary record book, 1862-1923, concludes with an important series of 1919 notes. These were gold certificates of deposit. Remainders were used by the República to overprint for regular use and are great rarities. The notes were printed twice with 100,000 each in June and July 1919. No series. Common face style for all denominations. Allegorical vignette in center within a multi-color tint guilloche within soft green tint. Green obligation back. A choice pair and quite appealing mounted to the same record page. Uncirculated.
