A rare India paper proof impression from this early series. The individual type was not in the 1990 ABN sale. The layout has title curved deftly around the well placed steamboat vignette. Green guilloche and large "10" protector. This proof came from Julian Blanchard at one time. Some back remnants seen and noted as previously mounted and with some small holes. Much superior to the record book impression, which is heavily stained. Excellent eye appeal and perhaps the finest known proof of its type. PMG Choice Uncirculated 63.
