COLOMBIA. Casa de Moneda de Medellín. 2-1/2 Pesos. September 15, 1919. P-S1026s. Uncut Sheet of Four (4) Notes. Specimen. About Uncirculated.
Uncertified and condition as originally in the ABNCo. archive. This is a complete vertical sheet. Ex Lot 775 from the 1990 ABN sale. This was an amazing lot of four sheets from the 1990 sale, complete for their types, on the gold certificate of deposit series. Notes of the issue were overprinted in 1923 by the Republica, resulting in an iconic, issued rarity from the Colombia banknote canon (see P-351 and P-352 in this sale, fully issued and ex Amon Carter). Each sheet is multi-color tinted, shares a common Foringer style vignette, and has a color back. Plate number in red at top. Paper mounting remnants at the back top edge, partially affecting the uppermost impression. Moderate handling. Very impressive as a sheet and maybe unique in this form. About Uncirculated.
From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Paper Money.
Estimate: $1500.00- $3000.00
