3.44 gms. Fr-301; Dupl-443a; Ciani-598. Well struck with clear details of the obverse and reverse design, lustrous and lightly toned. Nearly complete legends with only a few letters having the tops off the flan. The boy king Henry VI was proclaimed king of France at the age of six months and crowned in 1431. Defeats in battle and defections of allies forced the English to surrender all their holdings in France except Calais in 1453, ending the Hundred Years War. An attractive example sure to please. NGC MS-60.
