FRANCE. Louis d'Or, 1690-&. Aix Mint Louis XIV (1643-1715). NGC MS-64.
Fr-429; KM-278.18; Gad-250. A "louis d'or à l'écu" of the Aix mint struck over an earlier louis of the Caen mint, probably a "louis d'or à la mèche longue." No signs of wear or mishandling although the obverse has plenty of die polish lines. Bold strike with soft satin luster. NGC MS-64.
