30 mm; 12.2 gms. Julius-262; Sommer-A32; Wurbach-5662(sil). Bust of Louis, right, inscription: "LOUIS XVI ROI DE FR. IMMOLE PAR LES FACTIEUS." Signed F. L. below bust; Reverse: France mourning at the King's funeral urn as lightning descends from above. Inscription: "PLEURES ET VENGES LE!" In exergue: "LE XXI JANVIER / MDCCXCIII." VERY RARE in gold. Light hairlines from long ago somewhat subdued with minor surface marks and nicks mentioned for accuracy. EXTREMELY FINE.
