GREAT BRITAIN. Crown, ND (1641-43). Charles I (1625-49). NGC MS-62.
2.22 gms. S-2715; Fr-248; KM-139; North-2185a. Head of King facing left, legend around; Reverse: Crowned oval garnished arms, flanked by crowned "C" and "R". Mintmark: triangle in circle. A rather weak strike from well worn dies with an abundance of luster showing its uncirculated status. The crown was five shillings; during the reign of Charles II and with the advent of milled coinage, the gold crown would be abandoned in favor of the silver crown. NGC MS-62.
