GREAT BRITAIN. Crown, 1658/7. Oliver Cromwell, Lord Protector (1649-60). NGC AU Details--Tooled.
KM-393.2, S-3226, ESC-10. The noted defect of "Tooled" is the result of an individual from long ago who tastefully smoothed portions of the obverse in an attempt to remove evidence of a die break and other imperfections. It has since toned over with beautiful old cabinet tone that one typically associates with old collections. Quite a lovely piece despite the details designation. NGC AU Details--Tooled.
