SASSANIAN EMPIRE. Study Group of Silver Coinage, ca. 4th to 6th Century A.D.
Approximately 36 pieces in lot. A great introduction into the silver coinage of the Sassanians, this grouping includes Drachms and Hemidrachms as well as a few bronze issues. Each coin is housed in a cardboard 2x2 and then placed in a plastic sheet, four coins to a row, allowing for easy viewing. A few coins are holed, with other surface issues likely present, careful examination is encouraged. Approximate retail value of about $2,500. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS. VERY GOOD to VERY FINE.
