13.49 gms. Fr-158; Cal-Type 10 #11; Cayon-4143. Square "D" on obverse. The usual uneven strike with a few weak spots though the shield, cross and mintmark are bold. Even though the Spanish government would experiment with milled coinage in the 1590's, milled gold coinage would not be introduced until the next reign, Philip III. Full shield and cross, highly lustrous and quite attractive. NGC MS-63.
