INDIA. Reserve Bank of India. 1000 Rupees, ND (1937). P-21b. PCGS Extremely Fine 40.
Calcutta overprint. An important 1,000 Rupees KGVI note which offers great detail for the technical grade. Bright color remains and this issue is becoming increasingly scarce with higher demand as of late. Two larger spindle holes at left within watermark field along with very small hole internal tears with inked bank stamps noted on the verso. Even with the aforementioned details, this and the lot prior are the finest we have handled. PCGS Extremely Fine 40.
Estimate: $4000.00- $6000.00
