Konarski, Polish-Lithuanian Priest, educational reformer, author and acknowledged precursor of the enlightenment in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, was a personal friend of Polish King Stanislaw August Poniatowski, who caused this medal to be struck in his honor.
