TUDOR. Henry VIII. 1509-1547. AV Half Angel (21mm, 2.49 g, 6h). First coinage. Tower (London) mint; im: crowned portcullis. Struck 1509-1526. St. George standing facing, head right, wearing nimbus crown and spearing dragon to lower right with cruciform spear / Ship bearing coat-of-arms; above, cross between h and rose. Whitton i; Schneider 567-8; North 1761; SCBC 2266. Near VF, light toning in devices, slightly wavy flan. Clear initial mark.
