IONIA, Miletos. Circa 600-550 BC. EL Stater (21mm, 13.97 g). Lion reclining left, head reverted, within rectangular frame divided into smaller rectangular compartments / Central oblong punch, containing two pellets connected by a diagonal line, two parallel lines, and a fox at bay left; flanked by two square punches containing, respectively, a stellate pattern and a geometric pattern.
