Antoninus Pius. AD 138-161. Æ Sestertius (33mm, 26.25 g, 6h). Rome mint. Struck AD 139. Laureate head right / PHOE-[NI]CE, Phoenicia standing left, with left foot on prow, holding jeweled crown and scepter; palm tree to right, COS-II/S-C across field. RIC III 587; BMCRE 1195 = Banti 266. Near VF, brown surfaces. Very rare type, and possibly only the second known with COS II in field rather than exergue (Banti cites 1 for this variety, none in CoinArchives).
