ANGLO-SAXON, Primary Sceattas. Circa 695-705. AR Sceatt (11mm, 1.17 g, 10h). Series F, type 24b. Mint in the middle Thames region. Head right wearing brimmed hat; blundered legend around / Cross pattée set on two steps; TOT above, five annulets around. Abramson 106.40; cf. SCBI 63 (BM), 147-9 (for type); SCBC 781. Good VF, toned, scrapes on obverse.
