Writing about the Henry VIII/Edward VI issues, Whitten (BNJ 1949-51) noted “Henry VIII died on 28 January 1547, with the Mint in full production, and it is not possible to draw a clear dividing line between the last Bristol coins of Henry and the first coins of Edward.” The Seaby Bulletin attributed this piece to the reign of Edward VI but we cannot know with certainty.
