Diocletian, 284-305. Antoninianus (Billon, 22 mm, 3.37 g, 12 h), Lugdunum, 288. IMP C C VAL DIOCLETIANVS AVG Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Diocletian to right, seen from behind. Rev. VIRTVS AVGG / A / SML Jupiter standing right, holding scepter and thunderbolt, and Hercules standing left, holding club and lion skin. Bastien 108 var., Cohen 507ff var. and RIC 93ff var. (all with differing obverse legends). Apparently unpublished with this obverse legend. Mostly silvered. About extremely fine.
