Andronicus II Palaeologus, with Michael IX, 1282-1328. Hyperpyron (Electrum, 25 mm, 2.83 g, 1 h), Thessalonica. MP - ΘV Half-length figure of the Virgin Mary, orans, within city walls with six towers. Rev. IC - XC Christ standing facing, crowning Andronicus and Michael kneeling to left and right, respectively. SB 2396. Clipped, otherwise, very fine.
