KINGS OF THRACE. Lysimachos, 305-281 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 28 mm, 16.96 g, 12 h), Parium, circa 297/6-282/1 BC. Diademed head of Alexander the Great to right with horn of Ammon over his ear. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ Athena seated left, holding Nike, crowning the king's name, in her right hand and leaning with her left arm on shield decorated with lion's head; to inner left, monogram of ΠAP; to outer right, thyrsos. Müller -. Thompson 231. A rare issue. Scrape on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
