CELTIC, Northeast Gaul. Bellovaci. Circa 60-30/25 BC. AE (Bronze, 18 mm, 3.24 g, 7 h). Schematic head to left, surrounded by a leonine mane of hair. Rev. Human-headed fowl type gryllus to right; to right, pellet-in-ring above spiral-armed sun. D&T 509. LT 8584. A charming example with an attractive green patina. Good very fine.
