KINGS OF MACEDON. Antigonos III Doson, 229-221 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 34 mm, 15.20 g, 1 h), imitating Amphipolis (?), after circa 227-225. Head of Poseidon to right, wearing wreath of seaweed. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΝΤΙΓΟΝΟΥ Apollo seated to left on prow, holding bow in his right hand; below, monogram. Cf. SNG Alpha Bank 1046 (for prototype). A well made contemporary plated forgery. Very fine.
