Rev. [...]ЄΩN AIΓЄAIΩN K[...] / [Δ]-ΛC Octastyle temple with statue of Asklepios in center, leaning right on serpent-entwined staff; in pediment, eagle standing left, head to right. Haymann -. RPC IV online -. Apparently unpublished and unique. Some deposits, otherwise, fine.


This formerly unknown type is the earliest rendering of the famous sanctuary of Asklepios on Aegae's coinage and is therefore of great interest.
