KINGS of LYDIA. Kroisos. Circa 564/53-550/39 BC. Fourrée Hemistater (15mm, 4.42 g). Sardes mint. Confronted foreparts of lion and bull / Two square punches of unequal size. For prototype: cf. Berk 23; cf. SNG Ashmolean 763 and 767–8 (Persian Period). VF, toned, some roughness, plating broken in spots on reverse, exposing core.
