SELEUKID EMPIRE. Seleukos I Nikator. 312-281 BC. AR Drachm (17mm, 4.16 g, 8h). In the name and types of Alexander III of Macedon. Karrhai mint. Struck circa 310-290 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; monogram in left field and monogram within circle below throne. Unpublished denomination, but cf. SC 41.2 for a tetradrachm with the same monogram pairing (= Price 3811 and HGC 9, 10a). Good VF, lightly toned. Extremely rare.
