Very Fine.
Daniel Wolf and Catharine Lorber posited in their paper (Num. Chron. 171) at the Sicilian provenance of a class of Galatian shield bronzes purporting to be of Ptolemy II. Though the reasons why are still unclear, their analysis shows that a 'Western Greek' style different to those coins struck in Alexandria does exist, and that co-operation between the mint specialists of Alexandria and those of Hieron II must have existed.
