MACEDON, Koinon of Macedon. Pseudo-autonomous issue. temp. Caracalla(?), AD 198-217. Æ (28mm, 12.80 g, 6h). Beroea mint. Struck AD 214-217. Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Alexander the Great left, holding spear forward and round shield decorated with horseman / Warrior right on horseback (Alexander on Bucephalas?) right, holding spear. AMNG III 405 (time of Severus Alexander; same obv. die). VF, brown surfaces, some roughness. Extremely rare.
