Two Iron Arrowheads. Spanish Reconquista, from the battle of Navas de Tolosa, 1212 AD. Socketed iron arrowhead with long bodkin point for piercing chain-mail together with a tanged arrow head with square pyramid tip. 53mm and 44mm overall. Brown rust patina, usual chips for iron. Rare relic from one of the most decisive battles where Spain defeated the Almohad armies, heralding the end of the Moorish Spain. This lot contains both types of arrow heads found on the battlefield, likely one from each side.
