Hadrian, 117-138. Sestertius (Orichalcum, 32 mm, 24.73 g, 5 h), Rome, 128-132. HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS P P Laureate bust of Hadrian to right, with slight drapery. Rev. HILARITAS COS III / S C Hilaritas standing facing, head left, holding long palm branch and cornucopia; a small child to either side. BMC 1373. Cohen 819. RIC 970. An impressive and elegant coin, well struck and with a lovely brown patina. Striking crack at 9h on the obverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
