Hadrian, 117-138. As (Copper, 27 mm, 13.11 g, 12 h), Rome, 134-138. HADRIANVS AVG COS III P P Bare head of Hadrian to right. Rev. NILVS / S C Nilus reclining right, holding reed and cornucopia; with a hippopotamus walking up his left leg, and a crocodile walking to left below. BMC 1774 var. (bust). Cohen 995 var. (bust). RIC 862 var. (bust). Green-brown patina; and with an amusing reverse. Good very fine.
