Caracalla, 198-217. Sestertius (Orichalcum, 32 mm, 23.94 g, 1 h), struck during his joint reign with Geta, Rome, 211. M AVREL ANTONINVS PIVS AVG BRIT Laureate bust of Caracalla to right, with drapery on his far shoulder. Rev. FORT RED P M TR P XIIII COS III P P / S C Fortuna seated left, holding rudder set on globe in her right hand and cornucopia in her left; under seat, wheel. Banti 16. BMC 29. RIC 479a. Fine light green patina; attractive details. Good very fine. Banti 18. Cohen 85. BMC 31. RIC 479b. Dark brown-green and green patina. Some minor marks and traces of old corrosion, otherwise, good very fine.
