THRACE. Perinthus. Caracalla and Geta, as Caesar, 198-209. Hexassarion (Bronze, 34 mm, 16.84 g, 7 h), struck under Septimius Severus in honor of the Actian, Pythian and Philadelphian Games. AV K M AV ANTΩNEINOC KAI Π CEΠ ΓETAC KAI Draped busts of Caracalla, laureate on the left facing right, and Geta, bare-headed on the right facing left. Rev. AKTIA ΠYΘIA ΦIΛAΔEΛΦEIA ΠEPINΘIΩN NEΩKOPΩN Agonistic table bearing two palms and two prize crowns with a prize purse between them; below the table, an amphora and five balls. BMC 46. CNG MBS 60, 1216 (same dies?). Schönert-Geiss 639. Rare. Corroded and partially uncleaned, otherwise, good fine.
