Michael VII Ducas, 1071-1078. Histamenon (Electrum, 29 mm, 4.22 g, 6 h), Constantinople. IC-XC Bust of Christ Pantokrator facing, with cross nimbus, holding book in his left hand and raising his right in benediction. Rev. +MIXAHΛ BACIΛ O Δ Half-length facing bust of Michael VII, wearing loros, crown with cross and pendilia, and holding labarum with pellet on the shaft in his right hand, and globus cruciger in his left. DOC 2c. SB 1868. Well centered on a broad flan. Grafitto and scrapes on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
