L. Cornelius Sulla Felix, 84-83 BC. Denarius (Silver, 20 mm, 4.18 g, 12 h), mint moving with Sulla in Asia or Greece. L SVLLA Diademed head of Venus to right; in field to right, Cupid holding palm branch in his right hand. Rev. IMPER ITERVM Two trophies, with jug and lituus between them. Babelon (Cornelia) 29. Crawford 359/2. Sydenham 761. Attractively toned. Some minor deposits on the reverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
