John Comnenus-Ducas, as emperor of Thessalonica, 1237-1242. Trachy (Bronze, 17 mm, 0.46 g, 6 h), Thessalonika. Facing bust of winged cherubim. Rev. John and St. Demetrius standing facing, holding between them a long cross surmounted by globule. DOC 25. SB 2210. Dark glossy green patina. Irregular flan as usual and some striking flatness, otherwise, good very fine.
