BYZANTINE EMPIRE. Justin II, with Sophia. 565-578. Æ half follis. 4.11 gm. 20 mm. Semi-barbarous imitation. Justin and Sophia seated facing on double throne, globus cruciger to either side / Large K, degraded legend C / N / – / O to left, cross above, uncertain regnal year to right, mint mark below. Cf. SB 381 (Antioch). Good Very Fine; dark red and brown patina; sharply struck on a broad flan. Attractive and unusual.
