THESSALY, Thessalian League. Mid-late 2nd century BC. AR Stater (21mm, 6.35 g, 9h). Poli–, magistrate. Head of Zeus right, wearing oak wreath; monogram to left / ΘΕΣΣΑ-ΛΩΝ, Athena Itonia advancing right, holding shield and preparing to hurl spear; Π-O / Λ-I across field. BCD Thessaly II 813; HGC 4, 208. Good VF, toned, a few die breaks on the obverse.
