IONIA, Miletos. Late 6th-early 5th century BC. AR Sixteenth Stater (8mm, 0.78 g). Facing mask of lion / Stellate pattern in linear square with rays around; all within incuse square. Cf. SNG Kayhan 455–60 (eighth staters); SNG Copenhagen –; Rosen 580. VF, toned, slightly granular, light scuff on obverse.
