KINGS of MACEDON. temp. Kassander – Antigonos II Gonatas. Circa 310-275 BC. AR Tetradrachm (24.5mm, 16.67 g, 10h). In the name and types of Alexander III. Uncertain mint in Greece or Macedon. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; in left field, shield, inscribed AΣ, above monogram; ΦI below throne. Price 811 (same dies as illustration). VF, lightly toned. Very rare, one in Pella (in the BM), four in CoinArchives.
